And the winner is...
And the winner is...
Glenisk is no stranger to awards and over the years, we have won our fair share including the Ulster Bank / Irish Independent Business Achievers Award 2006 and the National Newpapers of Ireland/ Bord Bia Press Build Brand Award in 2005.
Glenisk Wins Food Oscar
Well far be it from us to shout about our accolades, but between one awards ceremony and another, we've been up and down the red carpet so frequently of late that it's in danger of going to our heads. In November, we received the Making a Difference Award at the Bord Bia Food & Drink Industry in November in Dublin's Mansion House.
The award was presented by Mary Coughlan, T.D., Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food at a cermony in
Dublin's Mansion House. Known as the 'Irish Food Oscars', Bord Bia invited entries for the award from companies who “offer a strong environmental story which captures the growing consumer demand for responsible manufacturing or growing” or who “provide a solution to consumers searching for goods that reduce the impact of consumption on planet Earth.”
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
Only weeks earlier, we we were shortlisted for the 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards where family member and finance director Gerard Cleary made his TV debut on RTE 1's series about the awards
Internet Design Awards
And while the champagne corks were still popping, we learned that our website had received the prestigious design award in the United States.
In the same month, our managing director Vincent Cleary was invited to join the organic steering committee by Trevor Sargent, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food with a view to promoting organic food in Ireland.
