A hugely entertaining speaker and a bona fide straight-talker, Erin will address an audience at UCD's Belfield Campus at 1pm on Saturday, 20 September

Your chance to meet legendary camapigner Erin Brockovich in Dublin:

Discussing her views on the power of one individual to create lasting change, the importance of truth-telling and transparency in high places, the feminine approach to tackling problems and the future of organic food and the environment, this event will be an unforgettable experience. Erin will also talk about what she calls 'stick-to-it-ive-ness' the attribute which helped drive her famous victory for the residents of Hinkley, California.

She began an investigation which eventually established that the people of Hinkely had been exposed to erin brockovich movie imagetoxic Chromium 6 for three decades as a result of a leak into the groundwater from the nearby Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Compressor Station. In 1996, following the biggest lawsuit of its kind, the utility company paid the largest toxic tort injury settlement in U.S. history: $333 million in damages to more than 600 Hinkley residents.

Tickets for the event, which is open to the public, cost €27.65 and are available at Ticketmaster outlets, from www.ticketmaster.ie or by telephoning 0818 719300.
