Glenisk is back in Bloom!

Glenisk is heading back to Bloom this year for what promises to be the event’s biggest and best year ever. Taking place in Dublin’s Phoenix Park from 2 to 6 June 2011, Bloom is Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family festival.

This year, as well as sampling our delicious organic yogurt to visitors, we are thrilled to be sponsoring ‘’Orb”, the show garden designed by Cork’s Anne Hamilton, winner of a gold medal at last year’s event. Anne’s stunning and ambitious design is full of surprises, including its extraordinary use of light. It is stocked with local trees, plants and organic herbs, alongside a magnificent partially enclosed structure built from native larch, and beautiful paving created with Irish stone. With a focus on sustainability, the garden features a number of environmentally friendly elements including solar energy to power its water feature. Like last year, Anne is on a mission to create the garden with the lowest possible carbon footprint.

BBQ with Glenisk & Rozanne!

Designed as a social space, Anne’s garden features a Bar-B-Que for outdoor entertaining. For the duration of Bloom, RTE’s Rozanne Stevens will be grilling some delicious treats from the show garden BBQ for visitors, with lots of hints, tips and tricks. Rozanne will also be providing cooking demonstrations on the main stage at Bloom across the weekend.
