Behind the Scenes with Glenisk's New Ad

Ever wondered how TV ads are made? Here's an opportunity to see how Glenisk's new TV commercial was produced. You can find out more about the thinking behind the ad here.

The Process:

Because our advertisement was shot on a (very chilly) December day, filming at one of our farms was not an option. But the wonders of modern technology and the skills of a very talented production crew meant that we were able to recreate the atmosphere of dawn breaking on a summer morning on a farm. The action was filmed at Ardmore Studios in Bray, against what is known in the business as a 'blue screen', enabling us to superimpose a farm background on to the images at a later date.

The Cast & Crew:

Bringing our organic vision to life on screen involved a big crew and included lots of people you might expect on a shoot including creatives, writers, directors, producers, actors, art directors, technicians, cameramen, sound engineers, cinematographers, lighting experts, runners, photographers, grips, hair, make-up, wardrobe etc. etc. But also some characters you don't find on every shoot including farmers, cows, horticulturists, gardeners, botanists and ... ladybird wranglers.

The Music:

The footage is accompanied by a distinctive piece of music from one of Ireland's most talented up-and-coming musicians, Duke Special. The track is an instrumental of the song 'Portrait'. You can find out more about Duke's music at a www.dukespecial.com.
