Our new Organic Baby Yogurt with no added sugar

Glenisk's new organic baby yogurt has hit the shelves! Developed with a sugar free recipe, this has been a labour of love - lovingly created by the mammies at Glenisk, with help from nutritionists, and lots of research with mums and babies, we've been working hard to get the recipe exactly right. Our aim was to create a tasty yogurt, suitable from weaning all the way up that would meet infants' nutritional needs. It also had to pass some very rigorous baby taste tests!

Available nationwide in three great flavours, APPLE & PEAR; PEACH & BANANA, and STRAWBERRY & APPLE, Glenisk Organic Baby Yogurt is priced €1.69. Each pack contains 4 x 60g pots and, with its thick, creamy texture, is ideal for self feeding.

The Nutritionist's View:

Consultant Nutritionist Siobhan Julian, “Fromage Frais is an excellent food for young children and is suitable from weaning at six months onwards. A good source of vitamins and calcium, it packs a lot of nutrition into a small portion which makes it especially useful for little ones who often tend to eat only small quantities. But many fromage frais products contain high levels of refined sugar which is not ideal. Glenisk’s new range with no added sugar means the nutritional value is not undermined by excessive sweetness.”

Frankie Daly, Quality Manager, Glenisk headed up the project and says the inspiration came from mothers. “As a mum myself, I have a personal interest in creating products that are nutritionally sound and help to cultivate a preference for healthy foods from a young age. Our new fromage frais is not only organic but it has no added sugar, and is a source of calcium, essential for little ones.”
