Glenisk Launches New TV AD

We are delighted to unveil our new TV commercial - the first ever Glenisk TV ad. We spent a long time thinking about all the things we wanted to say, but finally we decided to let nature do the talking - a bit like our products when you think about it. It would be nice to think the ad needs no explanation but for anyone interested in how we arrived at this 30 second snapshot, hopefully the following will explain our thinking.

The pictures in the ad portray much of what really matters to us. The family in the opening frame was important, not only because we are a family business, but because we're focused on the future; we believe that promoting organic agriculture and taking all the other environmental measures we're so proud of, is about taking care of the earth for the generations to come. Those with a keen eye will pick up the wind turbines in the background - a nod to our passion for sustainable and renewable energy.

The camera moves down to the ground - close to the soil - and this is really the source of what makes organic production so important; it all starts with the soil. The beautiful close-ups of the ladybird and the butterfly tell a story about the way in which organic farming promotes biodiversity; and how Mother Nature has her own system of checks and balances that renders artificial pesticides, chemicals, fertilisers etc. redundant. People often ask us for proof that organic is better and while we're happy to provide the research (there's lots of it about), to us the onus should always be the other way around. Organic is not new - it's a system that survived for millennia - it's the artificial pesticides, synthetic fertilisers and genetically modified animal feed that are new. Why have them in your food if you can avoid it?

As for the cows, well here's the genius bit ... they signify ... that our yogurt is made from ... milk. (Well it was all getting a bit high-falutin' really, wasn't it?)
