
Glenisk & Airtricity Competition
Terms & Conditions
- This promotion is opened to all residents of the Republic of Ireland (“ROI”), excluding employees of Glenisk Limited (“Glenisk”), Airtricity Limited (“Airtricity”), their agents or anyone professionally associated with this “One Year’s Free Electricity” competition (the “Competition”). Entrants must be over the age of 18 and legally resident in RoI. The Promoter (as defined below) reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries which they deem, at their sole discretion, to contravene the spirit of the Competition.
- By entering this Competition the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, and to be bound by them.
- To enter this Competition visit http://www.glenisk.com/win-with-glenisk/ and follow the instructions. Entering the Competition means you will automatically be entered to receive Glenisk's FREE monthly moosletter. You may also receive information from Airtricity from time to time. You may unsubscribe from these services at any time. Your email address will NOT be shared with any third party organisation without your consent.
- One winner will be drawn at random from entries every month for 12 months, starting from August 2010. The closing date for each draw is the last day of the previous month. The closing date for the last draw will be on 31st July 2011. Any decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- In order to avail of the prize, the winner must be an Airtricity Domestic Customer for the duration of the prize (12 months). If you are not an Airtricity customer at the time of winning, you will be required to become an Airtricity domestic customer. You are not required to (but may) remain an Airtricity customer at the end of the 12 month prize period.
- The prize consists of “One Year’s Free Electricity” with Airtricity. “One Year’s Free Electricity” is defined as follows:
- The “One Year’s Free Electricity” is applicable to one domestic Meter Point Reference Number (“MPRN”) in RoI;
- It is calculated based on the Estimated Annual Consumption (“EAC”) of the winning MPRN. The EAC is based on the winner’s previous twelve months usage prior to the commencement of the award of the prize. If Airtricity does not have access to the previous twelve months usage records in respect of the winner, Airtricity shall have full and sole discretion to determine the EAC based on its own calculations.
- “One Year’s Free Electricity” will run for twelve consecutive months which will commence on the first day of the first/next billing cycle date after the winner has been notified by the Promoter.
- Airtricity will allow the winner free electricity which shall be capped at the EAC plus 10% of the EAC (“Capped EAC”). Any usage over and above the Capped EAC (as determined by Airtricity) shall be paid by the winner.
- Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms and Conditions, the prize amount will not exceed €1,500 exclusive of VAT at the applicable rate and associated charges.
- VAT charges associated with the Capped EAC will be paid by Airtricity. VAT charges for any portion of consumption above this amount shall be paid by the winner.
- Standard Standing Charges and PSO Levy (if applicable) will be paid by Airtricity (as well as associated VAT amount). PSO rebate will be credited to the winner’s Airtricity customer supply account.
- All un-metered charges such as disconnection/reconnection charges, meter exchange charges and any other such equivalent charges will be paid by the winner (full list of un-metered charges may be accessed at: www.my.airtricity.com)
- If the winner has more than one MPRN with Airtricity, only one MPRN will be awarded with the “One Year’s Free Electricity”.
- If the winner is an existing Airtricity customer; they must have their account fully paid before they are eligible to receive the prize.
- There is no cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable, and non-changeable. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar or greater value should the circumstances make this necessary.
- Each entrant non-winner will automatically be entered in the appropriate remaining draws following date of entry.
- The winners’ names will be drawn at random. The winners will be notified via telephone within one week of the draw on the number provided. If contact is not made on the first attempt 3 more attempts will be make over the following consecutive week. If contact is not made by the third attempt winners will have an additional 7 days from the date of the final call or message left on the answer phone to contact the Promoter to claim their prize. After this point the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw a new winner for that draw. Once contact is made with the winner, instructions will be given on how they receive the prize and written notification will be provided.
- The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any entries not received. Proof of transmission or posting cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.
- Glenisk and Airtricity exclude liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage caused to the winner arising out of the prize awarded as part of the draw.
- Details of the winners’ names and counties will be available between 30 September 2010 by sending stamped self addressed envelope to Glenisk Organic Dairy, Co. Offaly, Ireland.
- Airtricity and Glenisk reserve the right to terminate this Competition if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
- Winners may be requested to take part in publicity arising from the promotion. Entry to the Competition confirms the entrant’s willingness to participate in publicity of this nature. Details of the winner (name, county and photograph) may be posted on Airtricity website www.airtricity.com and Glenisk website (www.glenisk.com), on other promotional materials as well as any press releases which may be distributed to media.
- The prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions and the winners are responsible for ensuring that any such terms and conditions are complied with (and shall bear the cost of such compliance).
- By entering the Competition, the entrant warrants that all information submitted by it is true, current and complete.
- Airtricity and Glenisk reserve the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
- If there is any dispute regarding these Terms and Conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Competition, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
- Airtricity and Glenisk assume that by entering the Competition or using their respective websites (and the entrant warrants that) either it has legal capacity to enter the Competition and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if they have reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these Terms and Conditions.
- If any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, the Promoter in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these Terms and Conditions.
